Alloy 718
This alloy (brandname INCONEL®/INCOLOY® or HASTELLOY®/HAYNES®) of mainly nickel, chromium and iron is corrosion resistant and very strong: the main properties of Alloy 718. Up to about 670 degrees Celsius this alloy has the highest strength amongst all heatable and weldable superalloys. Alloy 718 was originally developed for the aerospace industry. Also petrochemical companies have embraced this material.
